So you’ve made your way to Vigo and now you’re asking yourself, where are art galleries in Vigo? At first glance Vigo doesn’t look like a city where art galleries exist, but if you dig a bit deeper, you’ll find some of the best art galleries Galicia has to offer.

Maraca 

Near plaza del Sol up a side street you’ll find Maraca. This art gallery hosts events like: live music, exhibitions, and lectures from Spanish artists just to name a few. 

The space is well lit and spacious. On the ground level you’ll find art work and artisanal hand made products for purchase. 

The top floor is used to showcase their current art show which you can enjoy as you walk around the top level. The works on display here change frequently, so be sure to check out their website to find out when new exhibitions and shows are happening!

La Contenedora

Around the corner from Maraca is another great art gallery, La Contenedora. When you first walk up to this art gallery you’ll be greeted by a cafe at the front. Their coffee is good and they also have tasty pastries, so be sure to pick up a drink and take a look around the gallery.

On the ground level they sell merchandise made by local artists. Walk up the stairs at the ground level to reach the next floor. Here they showcase artworks & have workshops throughout the year.

Amorada

While technically Amorada is a co-op. This all female run gallery hosts art exhibitions monthly as well as other events. On the ground level is a bar where you can purchase drinks. The monthly works being exhibited can be seen on the bottom and top floors. 

Going to an event here you can really get a sense of the art community. This art gallery hosts a lot of incredible events you won’t want to miss.
