Best Brunch in Vigo: 5 Places You Can’t Miss

Breakfast is the most important part of the day, but brunch is by far the most delicious. While brunch is common in the United Kingdom and The States, it didn’t gain popularity in Spain until a few years ago. Now that it’s gained popularity you’ll see most cafes offering options for brunch in Vigo.

While bottomless mimosas still haven’t caught on and I’m waiting for the day it does, here are some of the best brunch in Vigo eateries you’re sure to enjoy.

If you’re like me and love brunch, then you’ll definitely want to check out these spots on my best brunch in Vigo list. We’ll go from eclectic to down right sinfully delicious. If you’re visiting Vigo soon or live here, don’t miss out on these spots.

Best Brunch in Vigo

La Cuca

Eclectic and a bit peculiar, La Cuca is the best spot to brunch in Vigo if you want to eat your food with a show. This brunch spot has two locations, but the original restaurant near Castrelos park is my favorite.

Walking into La Cuca you’re surrounded by animal figurines and the sweet smell of freshly made pancakes. Get here early  as it fills up quick and you’ll want a chance of sitting in seats in the form of pigs.

The coffee here is spectacular. I recommend the eggs Benedict or the waffles. Be sure to take photos with the mules and pigs!

Yemayá

Affordable and delicious, at Yemayá you can have it all—savory & sweet.  In addition to their impeccable options, they also offer quite a few vegan options. The service here is always friendly and good.

Located near Gran Via, Yemayá is a great option for brunch and you can even do some shopping at El Corte Inglés around the corner after.

I recommend getting their savory menu. It comes with coffee & juice, toast, and a crepe. Or try out their smoothies and frappes. Either way, this spot is one of the very filling and affordable brunch in Vigo options.

Terrae Orgánica

When you first walk into Terrae Orgánica you might be a bit thrown off, this is because this cafe is not only a great place to brunch but it’s also an organic grocery store. The storefront features plants and an area to enjoy your coffee.

Inside you’ll find locally grown veggies and fruits, stumbling to the back of the tienda you’ll find mouthwatering desserts and a full menu to order from.

The ambiance here is impeccable and feels homey.

What to eat for brunch:

  • I recommend the carrot cake with chai tea.
  • For something savory, give their toast with avocado tomato and poached egg or their quiche a try.
  • And for those who are vegetarian or vegan, they offer a wide range of options on their menu.

Lola & Lía

Don’t let the location of this brunch spot deter you. Lola & Lía is located outside the center of Vigo, but the trek there is worth it. They have outdoor seating and bagels!

This is a well-known brunch favorite with locals so be sure to show up early to get a spot.

After filling up on pancakes, bagels, donuts, or their eggs benedict, you can take a stroll along the Senda Azul trail that follows the Lagares river and ends at the Samil beach.

La Cultural

A local’s favorite for brunch, La Cultural’s dishes aren’t only aesthetically pleasing but delicious. My favorite part about brunch here is their ingenuity.

Just look at their menu and you’ll see the option of ordering your coffee in an edible cup (yay environment) or a croffle (a cross between a croissant and waffle) topped with your favorite toppings.

I recommend their french toast or truffle chicken benny (eggs benedict with fried chicken on top of a brioche toast), yes please. Don’t forget to order a cocktail to perfectly accompany your dish of choice.

Whichever spot you choose for brunch, you won’t be disappointed.
