7 Best Hotels in Vigo for Every Budget

Finding accommodation in another country can feel like a daunting task. Luckily for you I’ve scoured the city searching for the best hotels in Vigo for every budget.

Say goodbye to horror stories like bed bugs, being locked out of your accommodation, or sketchy hotels. I’ve compiled this list to make your stay in Vigo easier, safer, and stress-free.

Which platform should I use to book the best hotels in Vigo?

Big rant up ahead…. This may be controversial, but I don’t like, trust, or use AirBNB. In fact, I don’t recommend using them in Europe ever.

I feel like the quality has gone way down from its first inception and after showing up to countless AirBNB’s where the photos and even the accommodation didn’t match my booking description, I gave up on them for good. Since then I discovered Booking.com and I haven’t booked with anyone else since 2018. 

Another bonus with Booking.com is that you can get deals and earn points for discounted rates on accommodation when you sign up with them. Who doesn’t love a deal?

While Vigo may seem like a small city, there are quite a few 5-star hotels and choosing which one to stay at greatly depends on what you want to get out of the city. 

Gran Hotel Nagari

If you’re looking for something in the middle of all the action then 5-star hotel Gran Hotel Nagari is for you. It’s located near the Alameda next to Plaza de Compostela park with easy access to the old town or the port. This 5-star hotel comes equipped with a rooftop pool & spa which is great for sunset watching. 

Rooms are comfortable and come with a balcony and a spa bathtub. If you don’t feel like venturing very far you can head downstairs to their restaurant and bar. I stayed here once during the Covid pandemic and it felt like a luxurious staycation. 

Pazo Los Escudos Hotel & Spa Resort

If you’re looking to get away from the city center and want to be near the beach, then Pazo Los Escudos Hotel & Spa Resort is for you. All of their rooms overlook the gardens or the sea in a medieval castle. 

Here you can get spa treatments, partake in their topnotch dining experience, and they even have a bike rental service you can use for exploring Vigo.

Are there any hostels in Vigo?

While writing this post, there unfortunately aren’t any hostel style dorms that I can recommend in good conscience.

Hostel style dorms do exist, but if I wouldn’t stay there myself, then I wouldn’t recommend it to you. I hope this changes in the future!
